The Basics Of Photography – Taking A Good Picture.

A new photographer will take better photos by remembering five easy steps.

The first step in taking a terrific photo is to get close. Then when the photographer thinks they are close, get even closer. The major mistake that many photographers make is they try to stay too far away when taking the photo. The photographer then wants to rely on the zoom to get them close. The problem with using the zoom is that photos quickly become blurred.

The second step in taking a lovely photo is to put your subject in a corner. When the subject is placed in a corner, the photo automatically becomes more appealing. In fact, scientists have determined that a person will look at a photo less than two seconds when the subject is in the middle of the photo. However, the same person will look at the same subject for over six seconds when the subject is moved to the corner.

The third step in taking a marvelous photo is to make sure and watch your background. Many excellent photos have been ruined with some distracting object in the background. Sometimes these objects can be removed from the scene. Other times, the photographer must choose to shoot the photo from a different angle.

The fourth step in taking a remarkable photo is to look for leading lines. These lines occur naturally in the environment. Look for lines that will lead the viewer’s eyes into the photo. When these lines are used, the photo becomes instantly more intriguing.

The last step in taking a super photo is to eliminate camera shake. New photographers often have a hard time holding the camera still. A tripod is perfect for a new photographer, but other things can be used. Some of these things are the ground, a car hood, a large rock or just about anything in the environment that will not move.
